How to punch a wooden shelf with your right hand

Last night, I was searching for my alarm clock in the dark to set the alarm time. The light was already turned off so I just went on looking for it in the dark. Apparently, my stuff is in chaos so I had a difficult time finding it.

As I was trying to reach for the last layer of the shelf, my right hand with fist slightly closed ---- ACCIDENTALLY HIT THE EDGE OF THE WOODEN BOOKSHELF...as if I punched it with full force because I got excited when I saw the alarm clock.

And ouch.

Now I got red bruises all over my right hand and it's preventing me to write with good penmanship. It just sucks. T_T

We should still think about getting Silence for an alarm clock. Don't you think?
